There are 10 graves in this cemetery as of March 2025. All but one have engraved markers. One, which we assume is an infant child of Francis Marion and Sarah, only has a limestone rock. The Find-A-Grave link above will take you to their website, but beware there is incorrect information on that site. I have tried to have it corrected but without success.

The oldest individuals buried here are our pioneer ancestor, Joseph Roberts and his two wives, Rachel Carter and Mary Jane Merritt.

The last burial here was Sarah (Richardson) Roberts, wife of Francis Marion Roberts. She died on 21 Feb 1914. So, no burials for over 110 years. That said, Gracie and I have our tombstone already in place and it is our plan to be buried here.

The first grave here was Joseph/Rachel's son, Benjamin. Benjamin died sometime between 1820 and 1830. The next grave would be Joseph/Rachel's oldest son, William, who died in 1841.

Joseph & Rachel have three children and three grandchildren buried here.

The gravel road to the cemetery, left off of Roberts Road, is narrow and steep but in good condition. We have an annual decoration in conjunction with the Roberts Reunion. Several cars (AWD, 4WD or at least FWD) make the trip each year. There is a locked gate where the gravel road turns off Roberts Road. For access, call Tommy Roberts at 931-239-0652.

This property has been in our family since Joseph homesteaded it in the early 1800s. Joseph's homestead was directly across Mine Lick Creek in a small bottom. It is a private cemetery. The property is owned by Tommy Roberts #2 and he pledges to keep it in the family in his life time. Further, Tommy's sons, Jake and Ryan also pledged to maintain the cemetery and keep it in the family in their life times. So, should be well taken care of for the foreseeable future.
