New Construction

UPDATE: 24 Dec 2025

Well, I cannot say the new construction is going very well. It is going VERY slowly. They have had some upper management turnover that has affected the progress. That said, the new foreman, Terry, seems to have things "on track" again. They have good weather yesterday and today so they have poured more concrete. When I do my drive bys it actually appears people are working rather than standing around. That is always good. Pictures added to the gallery below of the concrete pouring of yesterday.

Construction on the new "Roberts Switch RV & Boat Storage Facility" is going quite well. The old site of The Stop service station had turned into a homeless hangout and a place for dope exchanges and prostitution. So, we are delighted to have the old facility destroyed and removed. That alone upgraded out community significantly. The new business will be an enclosed climate controlled high-end storage facility for large boats and RVs. It will have a controlled entrance, fence enclosed and well lit.

The gallery below shows progress thus far. I will post additional pictures as it progresses. The CAPCO contractor foreman tells me that he wanted it done by July but now "hopes" for September.

5 Feb 2026 update. Progress has been slow. Lots of bad weather and other issues. Seems to be progressing well now. Latest picture in the gallery below.
