The Evolution of The Clavis Barn

Clavis (1911-1991) and wife Frances (1917-1963) (Phillips) Roberts built their barn in 1946. Once the barn was completed, the couple moved into the new side stables. This was a short solution while they demolished the old house they were currently living in. This was done so they could build their dream home at that location. Those days had to be exciting for the young couple.

These days we affectionately call the barn: “The Clavis Barn”. The picture above shows what it looks like now, but it did not always look like this. The old barn has withstood two different moves for it to be at its current location.

These days, family and friends use The Clavis Barn for special events and fellowship. I like to believe that Clavis and Frances would be incredibly happy with this evolution.
