Redin was the son of William Heizer Richardson and Sarah Goslin. He first married Theresey Spears daughter of Hyrum Spears and Sarah Hutson. They had four children between 1872 and 1879 when she died giving birth to their last child, Sarah. Seven years later, Redin married Julia Elizabeth Carter daughter of Alfred Abraham Carter and Mary Grant. They had seven children between 1888 and 1903. Redin and Julia migrated from Tennessee to Arkansas between 1891 and 1892 and on to Oklahoma where he died in 1929 and is buried in the Wyandotte Indian Cemetery in Wyandotte, Ottawa County, Oklahoma. Their last two children were born in the Indian Territory (now Oklahoma). After Redin passed, Julia went with her son, McKinley, to Oregon where she died in 1949. She is buried there in Greencrest Memorial Park in Sheridan, Yamhill County, Oregon. We think his first wife, Theresey, is buried somewhere in Nashville.
Redin's service records do not reveal any significant events. And, I find no record of an invalid pension application on his part nor a widow's pension application on Julia's behalf although she lived past Redin's death. This is odd. If anyone has additional information, please let me know. Thanks.
