Micajah "Cade" is the son of Andrew "Drury" Maynard and Elizabeth "Betsy" Williams. He married Martha Elizabeth Henley on 15 Nov 1856 in DeKalb County, Tennessee. Martha is the daughter of Capel Henley and Elizabeth Medley. They had three children between 1857-1861.

Cade enlisted on 24 Nov 1862 in Nashville and was mustered in on 22 Feb 1863 in Murfreesboro. His service record shows that he was present for duty until he died in the military hospital at Carthage, Smith County, Tennessee on 8 Jul 1863. He died of "disease" but records do not reveal exactly what sort of disease. Perhaps his widow's pension application would reveal more.

Cade's widow applied for and was approved for a widow's pension on 27 Jun 1868. She would later, on 1 Jun 1869 marry Phiness "Finis" Bozarth. Her remarriage would have stopped her pension off of Cade, but she later reapplied for a widow's pension off of Finis' service.

Unfortunately, we do not know where Cade or his wife are buried. As far as their parents, we only know where her father, Capel is buried - in the Thomas Cemetery of the Thomas Community in Putnam County, Tennessee.

Anyone having additional knowledge of Cade or corrections to what I have, please let me know. I would especially like to know where they are buried. Your input is welcomed.
